Manager, Sales & Client Engagement – Lisbon

About the role

The Manager, Sales & Client Engagement will drive growth for Visa’s issuing and acquiring portfolio in Portugal. Based in Lisbon, you will identify new business opportunities, promote Visa’s digital payment solutions and act as a trusted advisor to key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities across an assigned client portfolio.
• Promote Visa Solutions to increase credential issuance, card acceptance and transaction volume.
• Analyze market data and collaborate with internal teams to uncover issuing and acceptance opportunities.
• Implement digital agendas such as Tokenization, Click to Pay, Authentication, Risk, and Tap‑to‑Phone.
• Prepare and deliver pitching decks and business cases for clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships through performance reviews and strategic alignment sessions.
• Support business development for new digital players (Fintech, Enablers, Bin Sponsors, Processors, Digital Payfacs, Visa Direct Programs, Wallets).
• Measure and monitor results of activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics or engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years experience in business/strategy consulting, banking, investment banking or payments.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Strong communication, presentation and storytelling abilities.
