Managed Services Specialist

About the role

The Managed Services Specialist owns the technical operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of the company’s managed cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, backup, hosting and infrastructure platforms. Acting as the senior escalation point, the role ensures service availability, security, performance and SLA compliance for both customer and internal environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage the lifecycle of all Managed Services platforms, monitoring health, capacity and performance.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Install, configure and maintain enterprise systems including Linux (Debian, RHEL), Docker, Windows Server, VMware, KVM, hyper‑converged infrastructure and SAN/vSAN storage.
• Manage critical services such as DNS, RADIUS, LDAP, Apache, NGINX, Caddy, HAProxy, SFTP, SMTP, PostgreSQL, MySQL and secure communications (IPSec, Cloudflare Proxy, MFA).
• Administer Fortinet security platforms (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiMail, EMS, EDR) and Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual tasks and improve operational consistency.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure, recommend security, reliability and scalability improvements, and contribute to new service offerings.
• Develop technical documentation, operational standards and implementation procedures.

Required profile

• Senior‑level technical professional with extensive experience in cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity and hosted services.
• Proven ability to act as the highest‑level escalation resource and to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, vendors and contractors.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on automation, standardisation and proactive monitoring.
