Maintenance Manager

About the role

Recipharm is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering & Maintenance Department at its facility in Queluz de Baixo, Lisbon. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of all manufacturing and packaging equipment while complying with GMP, EHS, and other regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Equipment Maintenance team in executing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain high reliability and availability of production assets through structured asset management.
• Support Production and Quality Control to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Coordinate root‑cause analysis (RCA) for critical breakdowns and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance data in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and drive KPI‑based decisions (MTBF, MTTR, OEE, plan compliance).
• Promote continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, and reliability engineering practices.
• Ensure facilities and equipment meet legal, regulatory, and internal audit requirements.
• Uphold Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) standards and foster a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a regulated environment, preferably pharma.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Quality, and HR teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and talent development.
