Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Maintenance Coordinator to lead our maintenance team in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The role ensures the upkeep of green areas, structures, and equipment while supporting the organization’s environmental conservation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute daily work plans, assign tasks, and supervise the Maintenance team.
• Maintain paths, roads, structures, and natural reserves in good condition.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for tools, equipment, and facilities, including external service requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures and certify “Time and Effort” records in the CRM system.
• Implement actions from the Management Plan of protected natural areas.
• Oversee personnel matters with HR, including payroll, performance evaluations, recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes.
• Manage vehicle fleet, fuel logs, waste recycling, inventory, and related operational aspects.
• Coordinate rental and purchase of equipment and materials, and lead additional projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar maintenance coordination role.
• Valid driver’s license; Category 9 preferred.
• Experience with fieldwork and management plans for protected natural areas.
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures, safety standards, and blueprint reading.
