Machine Operator II

About the role

The Machine Operator II is responsible for operating a range of secondary equipment in the feeders area and performing set‑ups, assembly, and quality inspections. You will work under the guidance of a senior operator to ensure production targets are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as lathes, drills, coil winders, tapping and drilling machines, and re‑machining stations.
• Perform set‑ups and simple tool changes (fixtures) for each machine.
• Assemble parts and components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct attribute inspections using Go/No‑Go gauges, testers, pin gauges, and thread gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering specifications when required.
• Participate in TPM, Kaizen events, and follow operational guides (MESH, LEAN, ERP).
• Verify part availability, requisition materials, and report any process or quality issues.
• Handle and store chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets.

Required profile

• High school senior (fourth year of secondary education).
• Minimum one year of experience in manufacturing operations or a related trade.
• Willingness to complete all required training to become certified in the position.
