About the role

The Mixing and Materials Control Operator ensures the correct supply and preparation of resin, additive and pigment blends according to production orders, guarantees raw‑material quality, audits and records scrap, and supports general floor activities in a plastics manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and mix virgin and recycled plastic resins, masterbatch pigments and additives following dosing sheets and technical recipes (≈50%).
• Supply feeding systems or hoppers of injection, extrusion or blow‑molding machines to avoid line stoppages.
• Deeply clean mixers, hoppers and feeding systems during color or material changes to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Monitor raw‑material inventory on the shop floor and report shortages.
• Collect, weigh and record daily scrap, classify it by resin type and colour, and ensure proper segregation for grinding or disposal (≈30%).
• Audit machine operators to confirm correct scrap segregation and report abnormal scrap levels.
• Support general production tasks such as packaging, finished‑product movement and operator assistance (≈20%).
• Maintain 5S order and cleanliness in the mixing area, raw‑material storage and scrap zone.
• Operate auxiliary equipment safely, including plastic mills, industrial scales and hydraulic pallet trucks.

Required profile

• Ability to operate a forklift and handle material movements safely.
• Proficiency in using AS400 for material transactions.
• Capability to verify material conformity against required documentation.
• Effective communication with supervisors and production staff.
• Experience weighing materials with industrial scales and performing sorting tasks.
• Basic knowledge of plastic resin identification (PP, PE, PS, ABS, etc.) and handling measurement units (kilograms, grams, percentages).
• Commitment to maintaining 5S standards and reporting process or quality abnormalities.
