About the role
A growing company in Porto, Portugal is looking for a Loan IQ Accountant. The role covers the accounting requirements of the Financing Business, working closely with the Back Office team on account reconciliation.
Key responsibilities
- Review and reconcile Nostro accounts and suspense accounts with the Back Office team
- Post accounting journals
- Carry out balance sheet and off-balance sheet reconciliation, and justify those accounts
- Account for and justify provisions and cost of risk accounts
- Analyse the impact of late operations and make manual entries where needed, up to D+2
Required profile
- Preferred degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management or similar
- Experience with financial instruments and accounting
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Team player with strong analytical and communication skills
Required skills
- Knowledge of Excel
