Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

Emagine is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join its fast‑paced, collaborative projects in Portugal. The professional will ensure the stability, security and performance of Linux/Unix environments across production platforms, supporting enterprise infrastructure and driving automation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, optimise resources and apply security hardening.
• Automate tasks and manage configurations using tools such as Ansible/AWX.
• Support virtualised, containerised and high‑availability environments, including Kubernetes and Oracle VM.
• Ensure reliability, availability and operational continuity of enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve infrastructure stability.
• Participate in incident resolution, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on Linux/Unix systems administration experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently in client‑facing, service‑oriented settings.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English with good communication skills.
