Legal Entity Finance Analyst – Europe

About the role

The Legal Entity Finance Analyst supports financial stewardship, governance and oversight for Hiscox SA, its branches, HASAS and other EU entities. Acting as the key interface between the external finance partner, local business stakeholders and legal entity governance, the role ensures accurate, timely financial information and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial oversight of Hiscox SA, its branches, HASAS and additional EU entities.
• Coordinate inputs and deliverables for local Boards, Audit Committees and governance forums.
• Review and challenge financial reporting, balance‑sheet positions and control outputs produced by the external finance provider.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the financial control environment and support remediation of deficiencies.
• Maintain and document entity‑level controls and support interactions with regulators, internal and external auditors.
• Assist with risk assessments, regulatory change initiatives and ensure compliance with group policies and local regulations.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve finance processes.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and operating model changes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
• Experience within insurance or financial services is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to influence stakeholders constructively.

Required skills

• Understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles.
• Knowledge of financial controls and governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting statutory audit or regulatory reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
