Legal Counsel – Private Markets

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Legal Counsel to support the expansion of its private‑markets investment offering. The role will provide practical, commercial‑focused legal advice while ensuring regulatory compliance across complex fund structures.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the structuring of complex investment vehicles such as AIFs, ELTIFs, UCITS, SPVs and PCCs.
• Lead legal due diligence on private‑market transactions, manage deal execution and review organisational documents.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks including AIFMD, MiFID II and PRIIPs.
• Partner with commercial teams and senior leadership to scope and launch new investment features.
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks related to alternative‑investment products.
• Provide clear, actionable legal judgement that balances commercial goals with regulatory constraints.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in law with strong academic record and top‑law‑firm credentials.
• 5+ years of experience in wealth and trading, investment services, financial markets or asset management.
• Background as a private‑practice lawyer at a leading law firm.
• Expertise advising on MiFID II, MiFIR, EMIR, PRIIPs and UCITS implementation.
• Knowledge of fund formation (AIFs, ELTIFs, SPVs) and transactional drafting/execution.
• Business‑oriented mindset capable of delivering actionable solutions.
