Lead Full-Stack Engineer (NodeJS) - Lisbon

About the role

1GLOBAL, a global mobile communications provider founded in 2022, is looking for an experienced engineering leader to join its Lisbon-based team. You will lead the development of full-stack software solutions, working with product managers and cross-functional teams to build products that support internal operations and market-facing initiatives. The workplace is hybrid and fluency in English is required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, giving technical guidance and career development support.
• Own the architecture and development of full-stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Translate product requirements into actionable development tasks with product managers.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and reliable systems.
• Design and implement scalable backend services using AWS services.
• Promote coding standards, code reviews and sound system architecture.
• Manage project timelines and priorities to deliver on time.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar, with at least 2 years in a team lead or management capacity.
• Experience managing multiple projects and working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.

Required skills

• TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• AWS services such as DocumentDB, Lambda, EKS, API Gateway and S3.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevOps principles.
• Docker and Kubernetes are a plus.
