Key Account Manager – Chemical Services (Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to lead client relationships and oversee the financial and administrative operations of our Portuguese branch. The role combines commercial account management with strong financial oversight in the chemical cleaning and industrial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing clients and key accounts, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Oversee financial and administrative management of the Portuguese branch.
• Coordinate invoicing, cost allocation, revenue and expense tracking for projects.
• Monitor project profitability, budgets and financial performance, proposing corrective actions when needed.
• Prepare financial reports and support business performance analysis.
• Work with the administration team to ensure proper accounting, documentation and internal processes.
• Support preparation and follow‑up of commercial offers, contracts and project documentation.
• Collaborate with operational teams for accurate project cost tracking and reporting.
• Assist in commercial activities, maintain client relationships and support business development initiatives.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, suppliers and service providers while ensuring compliance with company procedures and local regulations.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in finance, administration, controlling, project controlling or business support functions.
• Strong understanding of invoicing, cost allocation, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Experience in project‑based environments such as industrial services, engineering, construction, maintenance or energy.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to support client‑facing activities.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work autonomously and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
