Junior School PE Teacher

About the role

PaRK International School in Lisbon is seeking a dedicated Junior School Physical Education Teacher to join its multicultural community. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality PE lessons for Key Stage 2 students, fostering a love of sport and lifelong healthy habits.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum, emphasizing sport‑specific skills and tactical development.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage self‑evaluation.
• Promote inclusive participation, leadership, teamwork and fair play through competitive sport.
• Lead extracurricular clubs, organise inter‑school fixtures, tournaments and other sporting events.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing and school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching PE in a Junior School or KS2 setting.
• Strong pedagogical knowledge of adolescent physical development and sport‑specific techniques.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a commitment to student safety.
• Professional, organised and able to contribute positively to the school community.
