Junior Infrastructure & Operations (SRE/DevOps/Sysadmin)

About the role

Join a dynamic Infrastructure & Operations team supporting a leading Portuguese telecommunications and entertainment group. As a Junior Infrastructure & Operations engineer you will work in a hybrid setting from Lisbon, focusing on the day‑to‑day reliability, monitoring and improvement of on‑premises systems, cloud environments and container platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain Linux and Windows servers in production.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Support cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP, with exposure to AWS or Azure.
• Handle on‑call rotations (approximately one week per month) and incident response.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on infrastructure or operations experience (recent graduates with strong technical exposure are welcome).
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Strong communication, teamwork and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Linux system administration and deep troubleshooting.
• Shell scripting plus Python, Go or Perl for automation.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing, web service architecture.
• Cloud operations experience (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).
• Kubernetes/container cluster management.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
