Junior Financial Analyst – PnL

About the role

Quanteam, a consulting firm specialized in Banking and Financial Services, is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join its Lisbon team. You will be responsible for producing, validating, and explaining Economic P&L figures, supporting both Finance and Front Office functions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and validate official Economic P&L numbers and related explanations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between Economic P&L and Front Office forecasts.
• Perform in‑depth reviews of P&L, correct misallocations, and document gaps.
• Analyze differences between risk‑based Market P&L and P&L Explain.
• Monitor the split of Economic P&L into liquidity and rate effects for ALMT perimeters.
• Maintain hedge‑accounting controls where applicable.
• Submit finalized P&L figures for Front Office sign‑off.
• Identify and propose improvements to existing processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English (B2+).

• Gross annual salary €18,000 – €23,000, based on experience.
