Junior Data Specialist

About the role

As a Junior Data Specialist at Macrobond, you will support the maintenance and growth of macro‑economic content within our flagship application. The role combines data collection, quality assurance and basic database administration, offering exposure to a global financial data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, process and enter macro‑economic data into the Macrobond database accurately and promptly.
• Use economic knowledge to identify trends and ensure high data quality.
• Communicate with data sources to maintain standards and resolve issues.
• Identify and define opportunities for process improvement, including automation and data structuring.
• Collaborate with team members and the team leader on daily tasks.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or higher) in Economics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
• Experience with macro‑economic or financial data analysis is a plus.
• Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are a benefit.
• High attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Strong research and web‑browsing abilities.
• Legal permission to live/work in Portugal (if foreigner).
• Availability for 1‑2 week shift periods (14:00‑23:00 or 15:00‑00:00).
