Junior Compliance Officer

About the role

Quanteam is looking for a Junior Compliance Officer to support its Banking and Financial Services practice in Portugal. The successful candidate will handle alerts generated by the monitoring tool, screen client payments, and assist senior management with regular reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review alerts related to client payments and classify them as false, technical false, or true according to internal regulations.
• Escalate true alerts to the corporate team for deeper analysis following standard procedures.
• Process false alerts and apply corrective actions in line with operating guidelines.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on alert types, status, and emerging issues to senior management.
• Maintain accurate records of all screening alerts, investigations, and related documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Law or a related field.
• Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Detail‑oriented and motivated to learn.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken, C1+).

• Gross annual salary between €16,800 and €18,000, dependent on experience.
