Junior Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support data and analytics projects in a fast‑paced environment. This early‑career position is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who can work full‑time on Pacific Time business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Learn end‑to‑end delivery of data & analytics projects with guidance from senior team members.
• Gather and clarify business and data requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into execution‑ready inputs such as scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and validation approaches.
• Own specific business/data domains, becoming the go‑to person for definitions, logic, and context.
• Provide data‑driven insights, perform rigorous analysis, and validate deliverables.
• Use SQL to explore data, validate assumptions, and produce evidence for requirements.
• Support product managers in backlog grooming and Kanban card creation.
• Document business knowledge, definitions, mappings, lineage, and create training materials.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience, recent graduate or final‑year student with full‑time availability.
• Background in Engineering, Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Client‑facing mindset with strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and comfortable handling extensive documentation.
• Team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• SQL – ability to write queries for exploration, validation, joins, aggregations, and filters.
