Junior Backend Developer (Node.js / TypeScript)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Backend Developer to join our engineering team in Lisbon. You will help build and maintain the infrastructure behind a real‑time sports trading platform that aggregates odds and liquidity from multiple sportsbooks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design and implement scalable APIs.
• Work with SQL databases and data‑intensive applications.
• Contribute to distributed, event‑driven and real‑time systems.
• Optimize performance, latency and reliability of services.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers in a fast‑moving environment.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript and SQL.
• Proven ability to build and maintain APIs.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals.
• Eligibility to work in the EU and availability for hybrid work from Lisbon.
