About the role
We are seeking a Junior Back-End Developer to join a small, high‑performing engineering team. You will own and deliver key parts of our backend infrastructure from day one, working on scalable APIs, databases, and real‑time data flows.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable API infrastructure.
- Design, optimise, and manage relational databases.
- Develop and support distributed systems with real‑time execution requirements.
- Collaborate closely with a tight‑knit team of 3–4 engineers.
Required profile
- 2+ years of backend development experience.
- Self‑starter who delivers tasks from start to finish without constant supervision.
- Thrives in fast‑paced environments and communicates effectively.
- High standards for code quality and a collaborative attitude.
Required skills
- SQL
- Node.js
- TypeScript
- API frameworks (e.g., Express, Fastify)
- Git, GitHub or GitLab
- Rust or Python (strong plus)
- Database design and optimisation
- Distributed systems concepts
