Junior Application Support

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Application Support professional to join our Porto team on a hybrid basis. You will ensure the stability and performance of production applications, working closely with development and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for Linux and Windows based applications in production.
• Monitor systems using Zabbix or Grafana and proactively resolve incidents.
• Execute and troubleshoot batch jobs with Control‑M or similar schedulers.
• Perform basic SQL queries and database troubleshooting (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase).
• Support application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, Apache and IIS.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Shell, Python or PowerShell.
• Handle infrastructure backups and verify data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve system stability and adopt DevOps practices.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in application support or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• Basic understanding of networking, LDAP/Active Directory, firewalls and reverse proxy concepts.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.
