Junior Accountant – Shared Accounting Services

About the role

As a Junior Accountant in the Global Shared Accounting Services team, you will support day‑to‑day general ledger operations, maintain balance‑sheet integrity, and help execute month‑end close for OutSystems' entities across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. You will work closely with senior accountants and cross‑functional partners in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, period‑end accruals, prepaid expenses and cash allocations for multi‑currency entities.
• Perform high‑volume account reconciliations (cash, accruals, receivables/payables) and resolve variances before close deadlines.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to correct ledger mismatches and ensure accurate cut‑off.
• Assist in audit preparation by compiling schedules and providing well‑documented evidence for regional external audits.
• Identify bottlenecks in the close process and contribute to NetSuite optimisation and workflow‑automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (progress toward a professional certification is a plus).
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles (debits/credits, expense recognition, matching).
• Exceptional attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines and fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable tier‑1 ERP system.
