About the role

We are looking for a Java Back‑End Developer who is fluent in French to join Fyld’s consulting team. The role involves building and maintaining high‑performance financial applications for our clients, using modern Java technologies and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java back‑end services using Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
Implement and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs, ensuring proper documentation with Swagger or Postman.
Write complex SQL queries, optimise database performance and work with both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) stores.
Participate in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI) and manage builds with Maven or Gradle.
Apply security best practices, performance tuning, and caching strategies (Ehcache, Memcached, Redis).
Develop micro‑services, deploy to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerise applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Java back‑end developer.
Fluent in English and French (mandatory).
Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience with financial products and regulations.
