Janitorial Cleaner – Baxter Jayuya

About the role

ABM is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments across its facilities. This position is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce and offers a supportive, veteran‑friendly workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
• Operation of standard cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, etc.).
