IT Internal Control Consultant

About the role

Airbus is looking for an experienced IT Internal Control Consultant to work closely with IT managers, platform owners and business teams. You will analyse existing systems, identify optimisation opportunities and ensure the deployment of IT General Controls (ITGC) across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client technological requirements and advise on suitable solutions.
• Identify security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Optimise IT systems and infrastructure for efficiency, cost reduction and performance.
• Conduct assessments of Airbus IT systems and processes related to ITGC.
• Develop and implement customised IT solutions, including hardware, software and network recommendations.
• Document procedures and create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Build relationships with platform owners and technology partners.
• Design a framework to strengthen Airbus’ internal control landscape using SQL queries.
• Support auditors by providing evidence, defining action plans and following up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as an IT consultant, preferably in a technology‑focused environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• SQL development and programming.
• Hana Studio.
• Compliance tools such as data‑analytics platforms or SAP BIS.
• Proficiency with database management software and operating systems.
