IT Internal Auditor

About the role

Volkswagen Group Services is looking for an IT Internal Auditor to join its Audit HUB in Lisbon. The role supports the Group’s risk‑management framework by delivering high‑quality internal audits of IT systems, SAP processes and data integrity across business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare audit plans, work programmes and conduct background research on audit topics.
• Perform field work remotely or on‑site, including document reviews, data analysis, data‑quality assessments and interviews.
• Apply data‑driven audit procedures to evaluate IT controls, SAP processes and data integrity.
• Draft audit reports, align findings with auditees and conduct closing meetings.
• Independently follow‑up on agreed audit actions and verify implementation.
• Support audit‑related consulting projects and contribute to international audit working groups.
• Help optimise audit processes and transfer know‑how to junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT, business informatics, information systems, computer science or a comparable field.
• Experience in IT audit, IT risk management, internal control systems or similar assurance activities.
• At least one professional certification (ideally CISA); additional SAP, data‑analytics or information‑security certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
