IS Business Systems Analyst - Data & Analytics Technology

About the role

AMGEN's Capability Center Portugal, based in Lisbon, is hiring a Specialist IS Business Systems Analyst focused on Data & Analytics Technology. The role covers Global Commercial Data & Analytics capabilities for the ELMAC and JAPAC (OUS) regions, working with developers, Business Product Owners and other business analysts to turn product requirements into epics, user stories and supporting artifacts such as business process maps, use cases and test plans.

Key responsibilities

• Break down epics into features and sprint-sized user stories, and take part in backlog reviews with the development team
• Plan activities each sprint following the SAFE methodology, and keep requirements clear while removing blockers
• Work with Product Managers and customers to define scope and value for new developments, and with cross-functional teams to find data product enhancement opportunities
• Perform data analysis, troubleshoot issues and support system implementation and maintenance
• Develop and run product demonstrations for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain business requirement, user story and process documentation in Confluence, and document defects found during testing
• Keep user stories complete and accurate in Jira, and report and resolve issues

Required profile

• Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology or Information Systems
• Scientific domain expertise and proven analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a DevOps environment with an Agile mindset, in teams and under minimal supervision
• Able to meet deadlines and work with global, virtual teams

Required skills

• Writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in JIRA, and managing product features, roadmaps and user journeys
• Testing that user stories match business expectations
• ETL tools and dashboard tools (Tableau preferred)
• Good level of SQL
• DevOps, CI/CD methodology; Jira (Align) and Confluence experience is good to have
