Specialist Business Analyst – Clinical Computation Platform

About the role

AMGEN Capability Center Portugal, located in Lisbon, is hiring a Specialist Business Analyst for its Clinical Computation Platform. The analyst drives technology initiatives and projects with end-to-end accountability, turning domain and business-process knowledge into product requirements (epics and user stories) and supporting artifacts such as business process maps, use cases and test plans. The role keeps delivery aligned with product managers, system administrators, testers, developers and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Enable and evolve Clinical Computation capabilities through technology implementations and projects
• Define scope, drive alignment and ensure outcomes with independent judgment
• Work with System Architects and Product Managers to manage business analysis activities
• Capture the customer's voice and define business processes and product needs
• Help define scope and value for new developments and prioritize release scopes and the Product backlog
• Break down Epics into Features and Sprint-sized User Stories, define Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done
• Align technical requirements with UX designs and give proactive feedback to stakeholders
• Run product demonstrations and document configurations, processes and changes

Required profile

• Master's degree with 4-6 years, or Bachelor's with 6-8 years, or Diploma with 10-12 years, in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology or Information Systems
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, able to interface with senior leadership
• Experience writing requirements for modern web applications and user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile tools such as JIRA
• Willingness to work evening or night shifts, possibly on a second or third shift schedule
