International Controller – Finance & Reporting

About the role

The International Controller will report to the CFO and oversee financial and administrative activities for the Group’s entities outside Portugal. The role combines financial reporting, budgeting, risk management and coordination with international subsidiaries, requiring frequent travel and strong analytical capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise administrative and financial activities across the Group’s companies outside Portugal.
• Coordinate international financial closings and consolidate financial and management reporting, ensuring reliability, consistency and deadline compliance.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying deviations, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in the definition, monitoring and control of the annual budget and rolling forecast.
• Manage financial operations of international subsidiaries, including foreign‑exchange risk control and intra‑group relations.
• Oversee payment and collection cycles and manage relationships with international banking institutions.
• Develop and improve financial reporting and internal control processes, supporting audits and cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in similar finance controller roles, preferably with international exposure.
• Experience in external auditing and knowledge of international markets is valued.
• Strong analytical thinking, critical mindset and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good command of English and willingness to travel frequently, including extended stays abroad.

Required skills

• SAP (experience considered a plus).
• Business Intelligence tools.
• Microsoft Excel – advanced proficiency.
