Internal Auditor – Financial Crime

About the role

The Audit team at Revolut works closely with Risk and Compliance to build and maintain internal risk management and compliance processes. We are seeking a motivated Internal Auditor who specialises in financial crime to support regulatory audits, execute internal audits and adapt to new audit subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute audit programmes in line with internal policies, regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• Optimise data usage in the audit process to enhance risk understanding and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide input and help identify relevant risks and regulatory requirements for audit scopes.
• Interact with staff to gain a comprehensive understanding of risks, controls and processes.
• Communicate findings directly with management and develop audit reports that identify deficiencies, root causes and recommendations.
• Conduct research and complete training to maintain professional relevance.
• Partner cross‑functionally to develop recommendations for process optimisation, internal control and compliance.
• Perform follow‑up reviews of deficiencies noted in previous audits and monitor audit progress against timelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an audit‑related role within a regulated financial services environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the current regulatory environment, including EU money‑laundering directives, JMLSG and FATF guidance.
• Familiarity with financial‑crime controls such as KYC/KYB, due diligence, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
• Motivation to learn, grow and make an immediate impact as part of an expanding team.
