Internal AML Assistant

About the role

Join PwC Portugal’s Internal Services AML team as an Internal AML Assistant. You will support key processes that safeguard the firm’s compliance with Anti‑Money Laundering (AML), Counter‑Funding of Terrorism (CFT) and Sanctions regulations, gaining hands‑on experience in a leading professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of internal AML/CFT & Sanctions procedures, including due diligence, monitoring and documentation activities.
• Assist in reviewing and analysing information to identify potential risks, inconsistencies or red flags.
• Contribute to the preparation and organisation of internal reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams to ensure proper application of AML/CFT & Sanctions requirements across processes.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening internal controls and compliance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Law, Finance, Criminology or a related field.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Proficiency in English (certification valued).
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Sense of responsibility, adaptability and willingness to learn.
• Team spirit and strong communication skills.
