Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an on‑site Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Specialist to oversee pest prevention, monitoring and control at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring product protection and compliance with GMP and EHS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily perimeter and interior inspections of production areas, warehouses, waste zones and loading docks, logging findings.
• Service and monitor traps, bait stations and glue boards, replace consumables and record counts.
• Update daily logs, generate weekly trend charts and notify QA/Facilities of threshold exceedances.
• Perform exclusion, sealing and housekeeping tasks to reduce pest ingress.
• Execute approved treatments within GMP constraints, following SOPs and safety controls.
• Coordinate third‑party pesticide applicators, ensuring permits and certifications are current.
• Maintain GMP‑aligned documentation, support audits and provide training on pest‑prevention practices.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Entomology, Biology, Environmental Science or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3–5 years hands‑on IPM experience in regulated manufacturing or food/pharma environments.
• Familiarity with FDA, EU GMP and local health‑code requirements.
• Fluent English; Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Integrated Pest Management principles and least‑toxic control methods.
• Rodent control, insect monitoring traps, baiting and sealing/exclusion techniques.
• Safe use of approved pesticide products and basic fumigation knowledge.
• Computerized maintenance/logging systems, Excel for trend analysis, CMMS familiarity.
