Information Technology Field Technician

About the role

The Information Technology Field Technician will work on‑site in San Juan, providing installation, configuration and maintenance of desktop computers, point‑of‑sale equipment and printers for retail clients. The role involves hands‑on technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring stable retail operations across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, POS devices and printers at client sites.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and hardware upgrades.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance to retail staff and document all service activities.
• Escalate complex problems to the support team and collaborate for timely resolution.
• Travel to customer locations within the region while maintaining a professional presence.

Required profile

• Strong technical support skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Hands‑on experience repairing desktop computers and printers.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and manage multiple service requests.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation; availability for occasional after‑hours or weekend support.
• Associate degree, technical certification or equivalent practical experience in IT.
