Industrial Mechanic (12 hrs shifts)

About the role

Mentor Technical Group (MTG) is seeking an Industrial Mechanic to support its FDA‑regulated life‑science facilities. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of production and laboratory equipment on 12‑hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose equipment problems.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment and machinery.
• Disassemble machinery to remove parts and perform repairs.
• Examine components for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
• Test operation of machinery using voltmeters and other diagnostic devices.
• Operate repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
• Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing or repairs.
• Repair and maintain industrial production and processing machinery, including pumps, engines, motors, conveyors, compressors and laboratory equipment.
• Follow blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals for correct installation and operation.
• Perform repairs according to work orders, inspecting sites, determining materials and tools, and assembling or fabricating components as required.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, or high school diploma with at least 3 years of mechanical experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safety and compliance standards in life‑science environments.
