Immigration Lawyer – Portugal

About the role

We are expanding our Lisbon office and need an experienced Portuguese Immigration Lawyer to manage immigration, residency and company‑formation matters for international clients. This client‑facing position requires proactive case handling from initial assessment through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on D2 Entrepreneur, D7 Passive Income, D8 Digital Nomad and D3 Highly Qualified Activity visa pathways.
• Manage visa and residence‑permit applications, including AIMA submissions, appointments, renewals and document follow‑ups.
• Establish Portuguese companies for foreign entrepreneurs and shareholders.
• Prepare and review legal declarations, corporate documents, contracts and supporting submissions.
• Liaise with AIMA, consulates, commercial registries, notaries and other authorities.
• Identify legal or documentary risks and propose practical solutions.
• Provide clear, timely updates to clients and internal management.

Required profile

• Qualified Portuguese lawyer, actively registered and in good standing with the Ordem dos Advogados.
• Minimum three years of experience in immigration, residency or nationality law.
• Hands‑on experience with AIMA procedures and D2, D7, D8 applications.
• Proven track record in Portuguese company formation for foreign clients.
• Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and English.
• Strong legal drafting, case‑management and client‑handling abilities.
• Highly proactive, able to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
