ICSS Engineer - Operations

About the role

The Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) Engineer provides technical support to offshore units, ensuring safe and efficient operation of FPSO and FSO control systems. The role involves overseeing ICSS software, cybersecurity, and training for offshore personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Change processes for ICSS, Safety Instrumented Functions, and cybersecurity.
• Implement controls to protect ICSS software from unauthorized changes and cyber threats.
• Assess and develop training programs for offshore control system staff.
• Collaborate with Fleet HR to evaluate and improve ICSS specialist competency.
• Participate in reliability studies and define maintenance philosophies for ICSS.
• Support digital projects with technical expertise.
• Develop, maintain, and manage onshore data applications such as OSIsoft PI, Matrikon Alarm Manager, and Control Performance Monitor.
• Lead implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity systems for operational technology.
• Provide technical input for root cause analyses of ICSS failures and recommend remedial actions.
• Prepare scopes of work, specifications, procurement, and vendor mobilization for offshore activities.
• Align intervention plans with offshore teams, monitor execution, and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure implementation of Service Bulletins, GTS, Maintenance, and Safety Alerts.
• Report anomalies in the CMMS and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Integrated Control and Safety Systems on offshore platforms.
• Knowledge of Management of Change, Safety Instrumented Functions, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Ability to develop and deliver training for control system personnel.
• Strong collaboration skills with HR, engineering, and offshore operations teams.
