HR Officer – French Speaker (Porto)

About the role

As a Senior HR Officer based in Porto, you will be the primary HR contact for operational teams across multiple sites. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will provide expert guidance on personnel matters throughout the employee lifecycle, combining solid labour‑law knowledge with a service‑oriented approach.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line HR advice to operational managers on employment matters, internal policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Draft employment contracts, amendments, and formal correspondence related to leave, termination and mutual separation.
• Manage employee‑relations and disciplinary cases, including preparing invitations, warnings and formal notices, and guiding managers through dismissal and incapacity procedures.
• Coordinate HR administration for employee transfers, departures and end‑of‑contract communications, ensuring accurate documentation such as payslips and employee records.
• Identify and implement improvements to HR practices, workflows and tools, and support cross‑functional initiatives on policy evolution and change management.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Labour Law or a comparable field.
• Solid experience in operational HR management, personnel administration and employment law.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and disciplinary procedures.
• Full professional fluency in written and spoken French.
• Ability to handle multiple complex cases, meet legal deadlines and maintain accurate records.
