Head of Compliance & Quality Assurance

About the role

The Head of Compliance & Quality Assurance will be the top authority for corporate governance, quality management systems and regulatory compliance at Gaman. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that all engineering, manufacturing and operational processes meet European defence regulations, dual‑use export controls and international space data standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous auditing of ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications.
• Align all processes with NATO security requirements, EU dual‑use regulations and national defence procurement rules.
• Conduct internal and external audits, manage risk assessments and drive corrective actions (CAPA).
• Oversee supplier quality assurance and ensure compliance throughout the supply chain.
• Promote continuous improvement using Lean methodologies and FMEA analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or quality engineering within aerospace, defence or high‑security manufacturing.
• Proven track record of leading at least two full‑cycle implementations and external certification audits for AS9100 or ISO 27001.
• Experience managing risk assessments, root‑cause analyses and process deviation corrections in a technical environment.

• Dual‑use export control knowledge (EU regulations, ITAR/EAR fundamentals).
