Guest Services Agent – Full Time

About the role

The Guest Services Agent (Full‑time) is the primary point of contact for guests at Highgate Hotel, delivering courteous and efficient service from check‑in through checkout while supporting revenue and occupancy goals.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in line with Highgate standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, local restaurants, transportation and entertainment.
• Handle check‑ins, check‑outs and room reservations efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure all hotel standards are met.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Review Front Office logs and trace files daily.
• Follow all cash‑handling and credit policies, and be aware of rates, packages and promotions.
• Use two‑way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
• Operate the Front Desk computer system and complete all tasks on the shift checklist.

Required profile

• Friendly, courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cash‑handling and credit policies.
• Good communication skills for answering guest questions and providing local information.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced front‑office environment.
