Graduate Engineer – Application Program in Lisbon

About the role

Join Mollie's Engineering Graduate Program in Lisbon and start your career in a fast‑moving fintech environment. You will rotate through two 6‑month assignments, gaining hands‑on experience in back‑end, infrastructure or security engineering while working alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in PHP, Java or Python.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop and test new platform features.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and ensure security and up‑to‑date technology.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously optimise the code base.
• Identify process improvements and propose innovative solutions.
• Share knowledge and learn from colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, graduating in 2025 or 2026.
• Proficiency in at least one of the listed programming languages.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a passion for technical challenges.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
