General Counsel – Remote, US Bar, EMEA Overlap

About the role

We are looking for a proactive US‑bar‑qualified General Counsel to lead our in‑house legal function across three high‑growth workstreams: a top‑5 direct‑to‑consumer e‑commerce brand, a family office investing in hedge funds, and cross‑border structuring for multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own critical legal domains and drive strategic decisions with minimal bureaucracy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee FTC compliance, consumer‑protection matters, and e‑commerce regulatory risk.
• Manage hedge‑fund subscription, custody documentation, and negotiate LP terms.
• Design and implement cross‑border asset‑structuring strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise outside‑counsel relationships across all domains.
• Deliver monthly legal exposure audits and quarterly compliance sweeps to the executive team.

Required profile

• Active admission to the US Bar.
• Significant experience in both DTC e‑commerce regulation and hedge‑fund legal documentation.
• Proven ability to operate across multiple jurisdictions with strong analytical skills.
• Willingness to work with substantial time‑zone overlap with EMEA regions.
