Freelance Corporate English Language Trainer (Portugal)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance English Language Trainer to deliver engaging corporate English lessons to adult learners in Portugal. The trainer will work with various companies, helping professionals improve their communication skills for the workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lesson plans aligned with client objectives and learner proficiency levels.
• Conduct group and one‑to‑one English sessions, both online and in‑company.
• Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate training records.
• Adapt and customise teaching materials to suit different proficiency levels and professional contexts.
• Collaborate with the training team to ensure consistent quality and a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• CCP (Certificado de Competências Pedagógicas) or equivalent teaching qualification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, etc.).
• Strong command of English with excellent grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
• Proven experience teaching English as a second language to adult learners, preferably in corporate or online settings.
• Ability to design structured lesson plans and adapt materials to learner needs.
• Based in Portugal and able to invoice via Recibos Verdes.
