Financial Controller (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

About the role

HH Global is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the finance function for its Puerto Rico subsidiary. Based in San Juan, you will act as the senior finance partner, ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, and compliance while supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with IFRS and company policies.
• Own the trial balance, maintain internal controls, and ensure financial governance frameworks.
• Oversee statutory reporting and filings with the Puerto Rico Treasury Department.
• Serve as primary contact for external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and risk management.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital; coordinate weekly funding requests.
• Partner with regional finance leaders to align funding, operational requirements, and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and mentor the local finance team and embed a robust control environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance functions for stand‑alone entities, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, U.S. and Puerto Rico statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear financial insights to senior management.
• Excellent audit coordination and risk‑management skills.
• Leadership experience with team development and cross‑functional collaboration.
