Financial Controller

About the role

Namecheap is seeking a senior Financial Controller to own the integrity of its financial reporting and lead a green‑field transformation of the accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will modernise systems, bring the function to full US GAAP rigor and embed AI‑driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run the monthly, quarterly and annual close, delivering accurate consolidated financials across multiple entities, currencies and payment rails.
• Re‑architect the accounting foundation from chart of accounts to controls, implementing a modern AI‑native ERP and automating close, reconciliation and reporting.
• Develop and maintain an internal controls framework, prepare board‑ready reporting and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors and banking partners.
• Lead and reshape an established accounting team, fostering a high‑seniority, automation‑first operating model.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
• Background at a Big Four firm with multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidations and deep US GAAP exposure.
• CPA or equivalent (ACCA, CA) and proven experience delivering major ERP implementations.
• Hands‑on expertise with ASC 606, ASC 350, ASC 830, ASC 805 and emerging areas such as crypto payment accounting.
