Financial Controller & Certified Accountant – Remote

About the role

Complear is seeking a Financial Controller who is also a Certified Accountant (Contabilista Certificado – OCC) to lead the financial health of its digital health compliance platform. Working fully remote, you will ensure strict Portuguese tax compliance while managing the financial execution of European and national funded projects such as PT2030.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of financial management for PT2030 and other European funded projects, adhering to eligibility rules, reporting requirements, and timelines.
• Handle management control and general accounting, including journal entries, cash‑flow monitoring, and financial reporting to support strategic decisions.
• Prepare and submit all accounting declarations and maintain a pristine tax dossier.
• Maintain accurate HR and financial dossiers with meticulous attention to detail.
• Leverage Google Spreadsheets, Excel, and digital accounting tools to automate processes and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Certified Accountant registered with the OCC in Portugal.
• Proven experience in accounting, tax, and financial management of PT2030 or similar funded projects.
• Highly organized, autonomous, and comfortable working in a remote, tech‑savvy startup environment.
• Fluent in English and proficient with Portuguese bureaucratic procedures.
