Financial Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Financial Assistant to join our international Finance team. You will support day‑to‑day financial operations while gaining experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and broader finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, customer invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
• Post daily finance transactions and allocate receipts and payments.
• Prepare bank and control account reconciliations, and reconcile supplier statements and customer accounts.
• Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with credit control activities.
• Handle employee expense claims, reimbursement requests, and support supplier payment runs and customer refunds.
• Reconcile invoicing between the accounting system and invoicing/payment platforms.
• Maintain accurate finance records and support month‑end close activities.
• Assist with balance‑sheet reconciliations, tax reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Participate in finance system testing (UAT) and process improvement projects.
• Respond to supplier, customer and internal finance queries professionally and timely.

Required profile

• Academic background in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or similar role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory).
• Team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude and ability to work independently.
• Flexible, reliable and eager to learn within the finance function.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using finance or ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar ERP platforms.
