Finance Operations Specialist – Europe

About the role

DKSH is looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to join its European finance team. Based in either Barcelona, Spain or Porto, Portugal, you will work across markets and functions, taking ownership of key finance processes while driving accuracy and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor direct‑debit transactions for European entities, ensuring timely clearing and accurate reconciliation.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, approval matrices and finance‑governance standards.
• Manage purchase orders and invoice processing in SAP and related procurement systems, reviewing POs and resolving workflow issues.
• Coordinate non‑trade vendor setup and collaborate with AP, AR, Treasury, Procurement and local finance teams.
• Support IFRS 16 leasing activities and regional bank accounting, including reconciliations and resolution of uncleared items.
• Participate in European and global finance projects such as system enhancements, process standardisation and UAT/testing.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (e.g., FP Grado Superior – Administración y Finanzas).
• Minimum three years of experience in finance operations, accounting or a similar function.
• Fluent English; additional European language is a plus.
• Open to candidates residing in Barcelona or Porto only.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards (especially IFRS 16) is advantageous.
