Finance Master Data Specialist

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Finance Master Data professional to join the Finance Master Data team supporting Airbus' SAP FI / CO accounting systems. On S/4 HANA solutions covering General Ledger and Cost accounting, the role supports the accounting users network of the Airbus Commercial Aircraft division across 80+ legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Corporate Finance & Accounting stakeholders to identify gaps between future and existing master data structures and establish data mapping standards for Finance (GL accounts, profit centers and cost centers)
• Evaluate data accuracy, completeness, timeliness and stability to build repeatable, sustainable processes for updating dashboards
• Map, set up and maintain Finance Master Data Objects during the Corporate Finance Transformation
• Create and maintain governance and management documentation, including data cleansing and validation
• Support test plans, scripts and training materials for Finance Data Objects
• Help roll out global harmonized master data across new entities with Finance and IT, and resolve technical and process issues affecting the Finance organization
• Drive SAP MDG initiatives for Financial Master Data and coordinate with business and IT teams to harmonize master data requirements
• Facilitate workshops and documentation to support business readiness

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• Understanding of finance business processes (R2R, P2P, O2C)
• Experience in Master Data, Accounting or Finance
• Good English speaking and writing, and strong presentation skills
• Customer-oriented, team player with flexibility in a dynamic environment

• Ability to validate and challenge Finance and Accounting users on the design of the Global Master Data Template
