Finance & Accounting Specialist – Process Transformation

About the role

We are looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist who will also act as a transformation and automation agent within EDP’s Global Business Services. The role combines traditional Record‑to‑Report activities with the delivery of digital solutions to improve finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record and analyse corporate financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Maintain accruals, deferrals, fixed assets and depreciation.
• Support procurement master‑data, supplier registrations and open‑item follow‑up.
• Prepare reconciliations, variance analyses and financial reports.
• Maintain the local chart of accounts and related data in SAP ECC/S/4HANA.
• Monitor intra‑group transactions and assist the consolidation team.
• Provide information for internal and external audits and participate in accounting/system projects.
• Identify automation opportunities, design scalable digital solutions and support R2R digitalisation initiatives.
• Develop models, dashboards and reporting tools using Power Platform and Power BI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance/accounting, preferably with public‑accounting exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with SAP financial modules (ECC or S/4HANA).
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and continuous‑improvement orientation.
