Field Service Technician – X‑ray Systems

About the role

Rapiscan Systems is looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to support its advanced X‑ray and Trace product lines at Lisbon Airport. The role is hands‑on, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of security screening systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and provide on‑site service for Rapiscan X‑ray systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to technical recommendations.
• Respond to call‑outs and work shift patterns to meet customer needs.
• Complete service orders, reports and non‑conformance documentation promptly.
• Manage spare‑part traceability and stock counting.
• Act as Rapiscan’s site representative, building strong customer relationships.
• Learn server setup and PLC integration from IT and engineering specialists.
• Participate in ad‑hoc departmental projects and uphold company core values.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, flexible and able to adapt to project changes.
• Eligibility to obtain airport security passes (criminal record check may be required).
